How
do I dial and fax from
overseas?
Remember that you are
operating with a Hong
Kong fax number. You don’t
have to dial long distance
if you are faxing to another
Hong Kong fax number even
if you are overseas. However,
if faxing to countries
other than Hong Kong,
you need to dial long
distance, i.e.… dial an
International Access Code
first followed by the
phone number. For example,
dial 1-416 for Toronto,
the 2831-3xxx.

How
do I view faxes once I
received them in my mail
box?
Your actual received fax
will show up as an attachment
in the email. Simply double
click on the attachment
file and the fax viewer
program (default application
for TIFF file) will display
the received fax. However,
if you are using Windows
95 or older version, you
might have to install
a separate fax viewer
software. Only Windows
98 and later comes with
fax viewer.

What
is the size limitation
of the fax file sent and
received?
We don’t put size limitation
on the files received
or sent. However, if the
file is bigger than say
5 mbytes, you might run
into problem with phone
line getting disconnected
prematurely. The average
size of a fax page is
about 100K. A 5 mbyte
file represents 50 pages
of fax and it will take
over 50 minutes to fax
out the entire document.
As a good practice, try
not to fax any files that
are over 5 mbytes in size.
